Prevalence of Recurrence in Early Tongue Cancer T1 or T2 with or Without Neck Dissection

Background: Patients with T1 T2 N0 mouth or tongue cancer that has been confirmed by a doctor may choose to have neck dissection. Some say nodal return of original tumor is well controlled, while others salvage more often the exception than rule. Objective: To determine likelihood recurrence in early carcinoma without Methods: The prospective cross-sectional clinical study was conducted from March 2021 2023 at Department ENT and Head Neck Surgery, Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka. All 100 patients who presented clinically determined disease, as defined American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC), were treated Otolaryngology Hospital Dhaka underwent primary surgical resection eliminated cases involving base recurring oral cancer. Results: In dissection group, 3(6%) experienced local recurrence, 2(4%) regional 1 (2%) both (local recurrence). There will be no 10(20%) Local 3 (6%), Regional (2% combined Recurrence 4(8%) group 14(28%) group.
